Data protection
The Ministry of Justice has endeavoured to make the oikeus.fi website as privacy-friendly as possible for the visitor, and the collection of personal data on the site has been minimised. The sections and services where personal data is processed are described below. The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on the website is the Ministry of Justice.
Legal professions test
The Legal Professions Test (in Finnish and in Swedish) does not collect personal data. In addition to the answers given in the test, those tested are also recorded with rough location data by country, the operating system of the device and whether the test was taken on a computer or mobile device.
The service is provided on the Riddle gaming platform and the personal data is processed by Schibsted ASA (Oikotie). Persons designated by the Ministry of Justice may take summary reports of test results and usage rates that do not contain identifiable information. These summaries are used to monitor how well communication about the legal professions has reached the target audience.
Processing feedback
For feedback sent by email, the Ministry of Justice records the feedback message and the email address and name of the sender, if provided.
The Ministry of Justice may transfer the feedback to another authority if it relates to the tasks or services of that authority.
For more information, see the Ministry of Justice’s data protection page under citizen’s letters, feedback questions and requests for documents.

Some log data, such as IP address and timestamp, can be linked to a person. Log data is used to provide the online service and to investigate errors and security breaches.
Stored logs are kept for five years. Data retention is in accordance with the Act on Electronic Communications Services and data protection legislation.
