Legal phone counselling concerning simple matters is provided by public legal assistants free of charge. A phone counselling session is a brief, one-time remedy for a client’s own legal issue. Before the advice is provided, a disqualification review is conducted. The legal aid office assesses whether the advice can be given or if the client should be directed to make an appointment with the legal aid office.
